Ryan T. Stetz

      Ryan is a 1996 graduate of John S. Fine High School in Nanticoke, PA. While in high school he played for the 1993, 1995, and 1996 District II Boy’s “AAA” Basketball Champions, 1995 Eastern Conference Football Runner-Up, and 1994 American Legion Baseball Champion and Region 5 Final Runner-Up. He went on the play baseball and basketball at Lackawanna Junior College before earning a bachelor’s degree in Secondary Education at Bloomsburg University and a master’s degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Wilkes University.
      He teaches 12th grade Government/Sociology and 8th grade Civics. He also coached on the 2003 Boy’s W.V.C. Division II and District II “AAA” Basketball Champions, 2004 Boy’s District II “AA” Baseball Champions, 2010 Girl’s W.V.C. Division I, District II “AA”, and PIAA State Softball Champions and 2012 W.V.C. Division I and District II “AA” Champions. He currently is the Head Coach of the Freshmen Basketball team and Girl’s Varsity Softball team. This is his second year leading the Trojanette Softball Team where he was previously an Assistant Coach for three years.
      Ryan lives on Grand Street in Nanticoke with his wife Erika, son Chase, and dog Kali. In his free time he enjoys spending time with family and friends, walking, and watching the Philadelphia Phillies. During games he likes Big League Chew and Jim Beam Barbeque Sunflower Seeds. His favorite vacation spot is Negril, Jamaica. His favorite two ballparks he visited are Wrigley Field and Fenway Park and the nicest is Angel Field in Anaheim, CA. He enjoys Curry coffee, black olives, seafood, and Italian food. His favorite cereals are Frosted Flakes and Life. His favorite soap opera is General Hospital. He also likes Teaberry ice cream. His high score on FlappyBird is 54. The easiest thing about coaching softball is competitive attitude of the team and the hardest thing is the size of some of the dugouts.

    

      Leanne is a 2004 graduate of John S. Fine High School. While in high school she played on the 2000 district championship volleyball team. While playing softball in high school she as a member of the 2001, 2002, 2003, and 2004 district championship team. She also played left field on the 2003 State Championship team. Leanne was also a member of the Nanticoke/Newport All Star team that won a State Championship in 2002.
      Leanne attended King's College and played softball. She has a degree in marketing and elementary and special education. While playing softball at King's College she was named to the MAC All Conference team in 2006, 2007, and 2008, All Tournament team at regionals in 2006, NFCA All Regional team 2007, MAC player of the week, and a member of the MAC Freedom championship team in 2005 and 2007.
     Leanne works in the school district and enjoys coaching for the last 5 years. When she isn't coaching she likes to spend time with her family and friends. She loves hanging out and taking walks with her chocolate lab, Ace. Leanne enjoys playing slow pitch softball a couple nights a week. She dislikes sunflower seeds so during the games she eats almonds.

 

      Leah is a 2004 graduate of Nanticoke Area. She played on the 2003 State Championship team. She was also a part of the 2002 Nanticoke / Newport Little League all-star state championship team. She has been coaching Nanticoke Softball since 2008 and was proud to be assisting in 2011 when the Trojanettes won their second state title.
     She currently teaches first grade at Solomon Elementary in the Wilkes-Barre School District. In her free time she enjoys spending time with her family and friends. She enjoys going to lunch and shopping every Saturday. She enjoys makinghomemade cappelettis and raviolis for the holidays. She also plays slow pitch softball a couple times a week to stay active. She is a ball of fun and loves to laugh. She also wants you to know, eeeees ok!

  

     Nina was born and raised in Mocanaqua. She graduated from Nanticoke Area High School. She is an Attendance and Transportation assistant at the school district. She is one of the assistant coaches for the Trojanette Softball team and Head Coach of the Trojan Golf team. She thoroughly enjoys both sports and positions she holds. She also finds great satisfaction in bringing home a win but also is proud of the athletes when they compete at their best.

     She also works security at many of the after-school events and is very handy with a flashlight. She has the unique ability to see things in the dark while most others struggle. She also is involved in the Luzerne County Juvenile Youth Aid Panel for the District Attorney's Office.

     One of her loves is Italian food. Her mother’s ravioli, gnocchi, and sauce are among the best. Other favorites include pizza and extra crispy blue cheese wings. In her spare time she enjoys spending time with her family, golfing, playing world golf tour, and Madden Football. She loves the Washington Redskins and loves watching them demolish the Cowboys.

     Myrtle Beach is her favorite vacation spot. Her absolute favorite is her days off when she can travel and spend time with her family from out of town who moved away from her.

     “Coach Hisch” was born and raised in Plymouth Township and graduated from GNA in 1994. Throughout high school he played under legendary coach John Kashatus. Throughout his years he had played at least one inning at every position except first base. Following high school he went on to further his education at LCCC, Shippensburg University, and Marywood University. He has been a high school guidance counselor since 2003 and in 2011 he returned to his alma mater after working out of the area for several years. He has coached varsity and junior varsity baseball in the past and is a volunteer coach within the Mountaintop Area Little League.
     He spends his free time enjoying life and the company of his wife, daughter, and two shih tzus. He enjoys playing golf although he is not really good at it. He has been an avid Penn State football fan ever since stepping inside Beaver Stadium in 1986. He loves OCMD and tries to take mini-vacations there several times throughout the summer. Coach Hisch and his dogs usually get their haircuts on the same day but not at the same place.
     He is very excited about being part of this years’ team and helping out in whichever way possible. He also plans on learning a few things along the way. He believes that having goals, practicing good teamwork, and having a positive attitude are some of the keys to success.

  

     Dan is a 1994 Graduate of John S. Fine High School in Nanticoke, PA. Dan played baseball all throughout High School for John Kashatus and Post 350 American Legion baseball for Tom Kiewlak. He also played at Luzerne County Community College.
     He resides in the mecca of Nanticoke known as Honey Pot. The land where people walk on the road and park on the sidewalk. Dan has a daughter Kaeley who is a member of this year’s Jr. High Softball team.
     Dan enjoys his Saturday afternoon friendly poker games with the guys and is a huge Philadelphia Flyers and Washington Redskins fan.

Kelsey Rynkiewicz

     Jake is a 1992 graduate of John S. Fine High School in Nanticoke, PA. He is 1991 District 2 Cross Country Medalist. Jake also has a 2 year Associates Degree in Business Management from Luzerne County Community College. This is his second stint as the Jr. High Softball coach. In his previous stint, 1995-1999, he coached the Trojanettes to the Jr. High Wyoming Valley Conference Title. He is also a PIAA Basketball referee since 1997 and umpired and coached softball in the Nanticoke Little League since 1992.
     Jake resides at the New Grant Street Complex in Nanticoke. Jake is married to his wife, Tracy, who is a 5th Grade teacher in The Greater Nanticoke Area School District. They have two beautiful girls, Mandy 11, and Brooklyn 10. They also have two dachshund dogs, Stretchy and Buster.
     When Jake is not on some field or in some gym he enjoys his time at the Tiki Hut in his backyard by the pool. He is an avid golfer and a huge Philadelphia Flyers fan.

     Kelsey graduated from Greater Nanticoke Area High School in 2012 as salutatorian of her class. She played softball for 9 years and this is her second year coaching junior high softball at Nanticoke. She was on the 2010 State Championship team as well as the 2007 and 2008 junior high softball teams that won back to back District Championships by going undefeated for two seasons. Kelsey also played volleyball and basketball when she was younger.
     She currently attends King’s College and is pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Athletic Training. Kelsey is a sophomore in the Athletic Training Education Program and plans to attend graduate school in the same field as well. She is a member of the King’s ATEP Sports Medicine Society and has volunteered as medical staff for the Steamtown Marathon and both the Kutztown University and Penn State University Special Olympics. She has also participated in spine boarding on ice with the Athletic Trainer for the Wilkes-Barre Scranton Penguins. Kelsey was recently elected as the Eastern Pennsylvania Representative to the Eastern Athletic Trainers’ Association Student Delegation. After completing her degrees, she hopes to work as an Athletic Trainer for a professional ice hockey team.

     Kelsey is certified in First Aid, CPR, and AED and is also a nationally registered EMT. She was born and raised in Nanticoke and currently lives there with her parents and brother, Kris. In her free time, Kelsey enjoys spending time with her friends and family and playing and watching sports. She likes the outdoors and enjoys fishing and target shooting. She also likes to travel and wants to study abroad in Australia. Kelsey loves the beach and wants to move down South within the next few years. She also loves coaching softball and wants to continue coaching in the future.
